Your Local Asset Co-ordinator
Hi, I'm Una, the Local Asset Coordinator for Talybolion, Twrcelyn and Cefni at Medrwn Môn.
My role is all about connecting individuals and communities with local assets, including community groups, activities, services, and informal support networks. I have one-to-one conversations to understand people's needs, interests, and strengths, helping them access opportunities that improve their wellbeing and quality of life. Whether that's linking someone to a social group, volunteering opportunity or wellbeing activity, supporting community groups to become more accessible, or building relationships with local organisations and partners, my aim is to help reduce isolation and strengthen community connections across Talybolion, Twrcelyn and Cefni.
I bring over 30 years of experience in the employability sector, where I've supported and mentored people aged 16 and over with training opportunities, CV development, and job applications to help them move into sustainable employment. This experience has given me strong interpersonal skills, a person-centred approach, and a good understanding of the challenges people can face when trying to improve their circumstances.
I've also worked as a Youth Worker on Anglesey, providing information, guidance and support to young people across the island. This has further developed my ability to work with people from a wide range of backgrounds and to provide tailored, accessible support that meets individual needs.
I'm passionate about helping people feel more connected to their communities and look forward to supporting residents, community groups and partner organisations across Talybolion, Twrcelyn and Cefni.
