Yn gynharach eleni, dioddefodd eglwys hanesyddol y Santes Fair ym Mhentraeth dri ymosodiad fandaliaeth erchyll. Gadawodd y drwgweithredwyr ddwy o ffenestri plwm mawr yr eglwys wedi eu malurio. Yn ogystal â'r gwaith atgyweirio helaeth sy'n cael ei wneud o dan yr yswiriant, mae gwaith adfer a gwella angenrheidiol hefyd yn cael ei wneud nad yw wedi'i gynnwys gan yswiriant. Cyflawnwyd y tri digwyddiad mewn cyfnod byr iawn o amser, maent wedi eu dosbarthu fel tri digwyddiad ar wahân gan y cwmni yswiriant sy'n golygu bod yr eglwys yn atebol am dri hawliad gormodedd yswiriant hy £1500.   Mae Eglwys y Santes Fair wedi sefyll fel canolbwynt y pentref ers y 12fed ganrif. I helpu i dalu am y gwaith adfer mae Côr Meibion Cymru, Côr Bara Brith o Llangefni, yn garedig iawn yn rhoi o’u hamser i ganu mewn cyngerdd yn Neuadd Goffa Pentraeth ar nos Sul 21ain Gorffennaf gan ddechrau am 7pm.   Nid oes tâl mynediad ond rydym yn gofyn am roddion. Bydd lluniaeth ar gael ac wrth gwrs raffl/tombola. Felly dewch draw am noson bleserus wrth gefnogi'r gwaith hanfodol hwn.    Nodwch a fyddwch chi'n mynychu fel bod gennym ni syniad o'r niferoedd ar gyfer seddi ac arlwyo ac ati. DIOLCH

Earlier this year, the historic church of Saint Mary’s in Pentraeth suffered three horrendous vandalism attacks. The perpetrators left two of the large leaded church windows smashed. In addition to the extensive repair work being carried out under the insurance, there is also necessary remedial and improvement work being undertaken which is not covered by insurance. The three incidents were carried out in a very short space of time, they have been classed as three separate incidents by the insurance company which means that the church is liable for three insurance excess claims ie £1500. Saint Mary’s has stood as the focal point of the village since the 12th century. To help pay for the restoration work the Welsh Male Voice Choir, Côr Bara Brith from Llangefni, are kindly donating their time to sing in a concert at Pentraeth Memorial Hall on Sunday 21st July commencing at 7pm. There is no charge for admission but we are asking for donations. Refreshments will be available and of course a raffle/tombola. So please do come along for an enjoyable evening whilst supporting this vital work. Please do indicate if you will be attending so we have an idea of numbers for seating and catering etc. THANK YOU
