Girlguiding Anglesey is part of Girlguiding UK, the largest charity for girls and young women in the UK with over 320,000 members. We have been providing adventure, friendship and fun for over 100 years. Girlguiding UK is part of a World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS), making us part of a ‘family’ of over 10 million girls and women in 150 countries around the globe.
Girlguiding has four key messages which are at the heart of everything we do:
- We are for all girls.
- We give girls their own space.
- We give girls a voice.
- We change as the lives of girls change.
We build girls’ confidence and raise their aspirations. We give them the chance to discover their full potential and encourage them to be a powerful force for good. We give them a space to have fun.
Here on Anglesey, we have groups in all four sections of Girlguiding: Rainbows (5–7 years), Brownies (7–10 years), Guides (10–14 years) and Rangers (14–18 years).
